JustEd researcher and Associate Professor Jaakko Kauko just received the annual ‘Teacher of the Year Award’ at the University of Tampere.

According to his students, Kauko is an inspiring teacher who knows how to encounter students as individuals. He is known for emphasizing the importance of dialogue in his tuition challenging the students.
“I teach future kindergarten teachers, teachers, and education professionals who have a wide-ranging expertise upon graduation. It is important that students understand the power of language and how it shapes the world around them,” Kauko says.
