“This project explores practices and realities that has to do with student owned and school technologies,” said Kahtrin, who leads the project.

Three primary schools and three Universities from Denmark, Sweden and Finland are involved in the project.

“Findings from our project was disseminated at the annual Association for Visual Pedagogies Conference  in three research presentations,” Kathrin said.

The project leader Kathrin Otrel-Cass (Aalborg University, Denmark) presented with a student from one of the participating schools. The presentation was entitled: Primary school students as co-researchers. During the presentation, they shared stories about students producing video recordings to share their insights in technology use. The main idea was that videos allow students to select and identify things that are important to them.
