JustEd2018 ‘Promoting Justice through Education’ Call for proposals is open

The Nordic Centre of Excellence ‘Justice through education in the Nordic countries’ (JustEd), invites you to participate in an international research conference on ‘Promoting justice through education’ to examine todays’ educational policies and practices in a critical light. This conference problematizes the current educational trends in Nordic education and explores new possibilities for promoting justice, equity and equality through educational politics, governance, inclusive educational practices and agency of teachers and students, at all levels of education.

The conference is arranged in Helsinki on 22-23 May 2018 and is open for everyone interested in the theme.

The conference programme includes paper and poster sessions as well as plenary discussions on Differentiation patterns as a result of freedom of choice and Gender and sexuality in education. Confirmed speakers include: Professor Piia Seppänen, Professor Nihad Bunar, Professor Ann Phoenix, Professor Dennis Francis.

Participation without submitting an abstract is also welcome. Note that the conference is free of charge but requires online registration.
